Samsung ATIV S Windows Phone 8 and Samsung ATIV Windows RT Tablet Announced

In a surprise move Samsung has beat Nokia to the punch by introducing two (2) Windows powered devices that will be arriving soon. First up is the Samsung ATIV S Windows Phone 8 Smartphone. The ATIV S packs quite a punch in the spec department:
    • 4.8 inch Super AMOLED HD display
    • HSPA+ 42Mbps (850 / 900 / 1900 / 2100 MHz)
    • NFC, A-GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n
    • Bluetooth 3.0
    • 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor
    • 1GB of RAM
    • 8MP rear camera with 1080p video recording and LED flash
    • 1.9MP front-facing camera
    • 16GB / 32GB of internal memory with MicroSD card support
    • 2,300 mAh battery
Samsung didn’t say when the ATIV S will be released, but it will most likely be released late October early November. Until then, Sammy will showcase the WP8 handset at IFA 2012 in Berlin, between August 31 and September 5.

Next up is Sammy's Windows RT Tablet featuring:
    • 10.1 inch display with 1366 x 768 pixels
    • Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, S-GPS, NFC
    • Bluetooth 4.0
    • Internet Explorer 10
    • 5MP rear camera with 720p video recording, 1.9MP front-facing camera
    • 1.5GHz dual-core processor
    • 2GB of RAM, 32GB / 64GB of internal memory, with MicroSD card support
ATIV will be the brand of Samsung’s future Windows devices, including Windows 8 devices. We here at Windows Phone forum believe this will a great move in establishing a brand for Samsung's Windows line-up. Again, no word on availability of the Tablet but expect it sometime in the next few months.

Now that i've heard that o2 wont be getting the 920 in the UK due to an exclusivity agreement, this is likely to be where my money is going.

It lo.oks far better than the HTC overall
