The battle of the OS has begun, and the two devices being used for this are the MyTouch 4G and the HD7. The HTC HD7 is of course representing the newly released Windows Phone 7 side, while the MyTouch 4G is running the long lived and very popular Android Froyo software. Both devices have similar specifications, and so it makes this video even more realistic as a comparisons platform.
I personally own and use an Android device and the HD7 and I can say from experience that these devices are not similar in the way the work, and the focus of the OS as a whole. The both have different feels, and I must say Android is not for everyone, and same goes for Windows Phone 7.
Here is a bit from the review/comparison:
“I don’t think I need to tell you who the winner is of this Face Off but I did develop a fondness for WP7 OS while doing this Face Off. So much so that I went out and purchased a Samsung Focus and I’m using it as my every day phone. WP7 doesn’t come close to offering the Android OS experience but the fluidity of WP7 is intriguing. The myTouch 4G is a great Smartphone able to handle whatever you might through at it and with the continued development of the Android Market I highly recommend the myTouch 4G if you’re a T-Mobile wireless customer.”
