[RUMOR] Tango to Bring Homescreen "Folders" and Improved Media Controls

The folks over at mymicrosoftlife have been tipped that Tango is going to bring a couple of really nice enhancements. The first one is going to bring a tweak to the design of the media controls in Windows Phone so that it takes up less room on the screen. This will be a welcomed improvement for those complaining that it takes up too much vertical space on the screen. Word has it that the design for the media controls will appear like a notification and therefore take up less space at the top of the screen.

The next enhancement that is a little more significant is that the update will supposedly allow users to create “folders” on their start screen. We are going to assume these "folders" are actually something like grouping as found on Windows 8. This would make more sense and really tidy up the start screen.

Keep in mind this is only rumor at this point and until Microsoft actually releases Tango this should be taken with the proverbial grain of salt. Thoughts?

I've been waiting a LONG time for folders. That is the main reason I would unlock my phone, but as soon as I decided to go ahead with it, chevron ran out of tokens. GO Tango!!!

What app are you talking about? I have still not been able to unlock my phone.

I would really like the idea of creating folders on the phone, instead of organizing everything on the computer, then syncing it.

The app for creating folder is available in xap file.
So first you need to RSPL / HSPL your device so that it can be deployed via IE directly into your device.

I have integrated this application in my new Surround and Mozart ROM.

Let me know which device you have. If you want I will send you the folder creation app.

    Regards
